Zenoss Enhances Cisco UCS Management Solution

AUSTIN, TX – December 7, 2010 - Zenoss Inc., a leading provider of dynamic service assurance products for public, private and hybrid cloud-based IT infrastructures, today announced that its management offering for the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) now supports the latest version of Cisco UCS Manager, Release 1.3.

The Zenoss management solution for Cisco UCS has seen significant momentum with several implementations at enterprises and cloud service providers because it provides unified, real-time visibility into the configuration, health and performance of the entire physical, virtual and cloud stack in an open, cost-effective, and rapidly deployable product. Through direct integration with the Cisco UCS API, Zenoss Enterprise automatically discovers, links and monitors the entire UCS environment, providing real-time performance, availability, and event management, along with configuration and workload dependency tracking, and end-to-end visualization through a multi-tenant, browser-based portal.

In addition to support for Cisco UCS Manager, Release 1.3, this update to the Zenoss Cisco UCS management solution also provides:

• Integrated cross-domain monitoring, so Cisco UCS administrators can understand guest operating system performance for each service profile
• Performance monitoring of the integrated fabric, with port-level views of traffic, traffic management, and error conditions for both Ethernet and fibre channel protocols on fabric interconnect switches and blade mezzanine cards
• Resource monitoring of fabric interconnect controllers, allowing identification of excessive processor and memory use conditions
• Improved fault condition notification handling with automatic de-duplication and clear-on-recovery
• Improved understanding of power consumption and chassis environmental conditions
• Improved management of large and geographically dispersed Cisco UCS installations
