We are very pleased to announce that John Boyle has joined Zenoss as our new Community Manager and Engineer!
The mission of the Zenoss Community is to advance product quality and capabilities, be the defacto standard hub of engagement and drive innovation for our Zenoss Core, Enterprise and ZaaS users and open-source developers.
Community stands out as one of the top criteria for choosing an open-source platform as well as one of the top reasons open-source projects succeed. Successful and healthy open-source communities welcome noobs and ninjas alike, foster critical thinking and positive engagement, and maintain a steady focus on the project objectives while managing different opinions within the community.
As the Community Manager and Engineer, John will nurture and expand the voice of our Zenoss Community by working closely with all of you. He is the devoted advocate for the community and by extension, our customers and our solutions.
Prior to joining Zenoss, John worked at Dell as a Principal Product Manager for Mobile Software Solutions.
Previous to Dell John worked at Ameriprise, BroadJump, Convio and Oracle where he held positions in Product Marketing, Product Management, Global Education and Global Technical Support. In many of these roles John took the initiative to champion and grow the customer programs and communities to great success.

✔ Named one of the #Nifty50 Top Men in Technology on Twitter by Blue Focus Marketing in 2012 and was a Dell Certified Social Media and Community Professional, Brand Champion and SME/Executive Mentor.
✔ He recently optioned a book for the film & TV rights and is currently working on the adapted screenplay as one of his life bucket list items. Yes…it is a zombie flick but he claims it 110% will not be lame!
✔ He is an Eagle Scout and is the Austin North Shore District Eagle Scout Advisor for Boy Scouts of America. John also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, WatchDoGS and announces the Four Points Middle School football games.
✔ John graduated from Seattle University (probably wearing a flannel shirt and a pair of Chuck Taylors) with a BA, Communications.
✔ John’s interests include recreational sporting events such as the Tough Mudder, playing the guitar, fishing, tennis, soccer, Seahawks and cooking and if you ask he might even catch you a delicious bass.
