Recently, we sponsored some of our technology partners’ major conferences, ServiceNow Knowledge, Nutanix .NEXT and Google Cloud Next. During these events, we had the opportunity to share how Zenoss is working with partners and about one of our core values, People Who Do.

What better way to get others involved in giving back than inviting attendees to spin a wheel and hear that satisfying clicking noise as you root for big money! The best part about this fun? With every spin of the clicking wheel, Zenoss and Nutanix jointly donated to Girlstart, a nonprofit organization devoted to empowering girls in fields related to science, technology, engineering and math. We’d like to give a huge “thank you” to all of those who helped give back.
Some smart people at Zenoss created an app that records the donations and streams data to the platform, which is reflected in real time on the Zenoss Cloud dashboard. This app used brand-new streaming data ingest capabilities that enable Zenoss Cloud to accept any data from anywhere.
When you’re using Zenoss Cloud, any kind of device or application can throw in whatever data it wants — metrics, events, logs — and the software will automatically store, organize, retrieve and analyze it to spot anomalies.
We had such a fun time getting to show off some of the features of Zenoss Cloud by supporting a great cause like Girlstart. Hearing peoples’ motivations for giving the wheel their best spin was very special. We heard comments like, “I have daughters and would love to see them thrive in the STEM field,” and “I would have loved to participate in a program like this when I was young!”
Not only were conference attendees thrilled to get behind a great cause, but so were our partners. Zenoss and Nutanix jointly raised $10,000 in support of Girlstart. Nutanix even recognized Zenoss as a recipient of the .heart award for exemplifying the mission of Nutanix’s corporate social responsibility program — to allocate voices, time and funds to make a positive impact on people, communities and the world. A foundational element of the Zenoss-Nutanix partnership is our common drive to serve our communities and change peoples’ lives.
