It’s been a tremendously busy first half of 2016 as SOPRIS Technologies has been on the road and meeting with potential customers South of the Border. Engagement began in February as SOPRIS hosted a live Spanish language webinar in which SOPRIS CEO, Jorge Zepeda-Godinez, partnered with Zenoss to address the “4 Secretos que Aumentarán el Valor de TI en su Empresa” (4 Secrets to Improving your IT’s Business Value).
In April, we traveled into the heart of Mexico City where in partnership with SOPRIS’ in-country partner, Corporativo ICSI, we hosted the first-ever Z Local in the region. Held at the exclusive Piso 51 in the Torre Mayor in the center of the city, this event was attended by some of the largest customers and partners spanning verticals such as Banking, Telecom, Transportation, Government, Finance, and Energy segments.
The impact on customers from this one session has been immediate! Customers who have been evaluating solutions utilizing competing solutions are now highly interested in incorporating Zenoss and SOPRIS into their plans. And in a couple of case, customers have stopped work on their existing plans in favor of doing a comprehensive evaluation of Zenoss.
The interest from customers and partners at this local event mirror the interest we have seen during the expansion into the region. Specifically, Customers are looking to modernize/refresh their “legacy-based” solutions that are ruled by the “big-4” players. Large interest has also been encountered in utilizing Monitoring as a Service to grow revenues by addressing the changing needs of corporate customers who are looking to outsource non-core functions (ie. network monitoring) to highly trust-worthy, reliable, competent partners. Additionally, organizations are eager to learn transformative techniques/skills that will help their IT organizations become core centers of agility, expertise, and innovation. To help customers reskill their IT teams, SOPRIS has launched “SOPRIS University” which delivers on-demand high-caliber technical training. The inaugural training event was held in April,2016.
The energy which the SOPRIS and Zenoss partnership has expended thru the first half of 2016 has opened a lot of doors in Latin America. In May, we attended GalaxZ 16 were honored to win the Channel Partner of the Year award at GalaxZ 16!
With over 30 active engagements being worked in major markets, SOPRIS is looking forward to finalizing commitments with some of the largest players in the region!
