Zenoss Hosts 300 Global Attendees at Inaugural User Conference

Customer Case Studies Presented by General Electric, BBC, NetApp, Cisco, Lenovo, Rackspace, Orbitz and More

Austin, TX – May 8, 2015 – Zenoss Inc., the leading provider of unified monitoring and analytics for virtual, physical and cloud-based IT infrastructure and applications, today announced the highlights from its user conference, GalaxZ ’15, sponsored by Lenovo and Cisco earlier this week.

Chairman and CEO, Greg Stock opened the conference by congratulating the company on its 10-year anniversary and highlighted its monumental growth to date. Stock emphasized Zenoss’ commitment to developing, "Customers for Life," one of the core values that guides the culture, brand, and business strategy.

Major themes throughout the conference included Zenoss being the next generation monitoring solution that delivers software-defined operations at scale and the importance of leveraging partner technologies including Docker, HBase and Hadoop.

"It was a remarkable setting to interact with customers and hear how they are using Zenoss to build intelligent data centers," said Greg Stock, Chairman and CEO of Zenoss. "We listened and plan to respond by rapidly executing on the things we learned from these discussions. This was a game-changing event for our company and we’re already planning ways to make it even bigger, better, and more valuable for our customers and partners next year."

Stock also reiterated the significance of its strong Open Source community and referred to this time as, "the greatest in the history of Zenoss to date - one that the organization would build upon."

As a keynote, world-renowned theoretical physicist, Dr. Michio Kaku wowed the attendees as he discussed various possibilities of advanced technologies. Following Dr. Kaku, Rackspace CTO, John Engates presented the vision of ubiquitous computing and shared his philosophy of seeking and embracing change as it relates to business and technology disruption. Additional presenters from BBC, Cisco, General Electric, Huntington Bank, Lenovo, NetApp, NWN and Orbitz offered insight to best practices in IT Operations.
