Zenoss Announces Another Record Quarter

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Apr 30, 2012) - Zenoss, a leading provider of unified IT operations software for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT infrastructure, today announced that the company achieved record first quarter sales, driven by key wins in the financial services sector. This news follows a record year for Zenoss in 2011.

Banks and financial institutions, like many enterprises of today, demand an IT infrastructure that remains accessible and available 24/7 with stringent internal and external service level assurance (SLA) agreements around performance and availability. As customers approach and cross the all-important 50% virtualized infrastructure mark, legacy tools are not able to provide unified monitoring, analytics and service impact management to these heterogeneous environments. In addition, deploying costly standalone niche tools does not allow for the required visibility across entire IT infrastructures and contributes to unwanted complexity within IT operations. Today, IT operations requires a transformative approach based on the principles of unified monitoring and analytics with a path towards viewing IT infrastructure as a service.

"We once again saw record sales among new and existing customers during this quarter," said Bill Karpovich, Zenoss CEO. "Mainstream businesses -- including large financial services organizations -- have hit a tipping point with the adoption of virtualization and the increasing move toward converged infrastructure and cloud technologies. These changes in IT are driving them to choose new platforms to manage enterprise IT operations."

"Our infrastructure is very dynamic and highly virtualized. Before implementing Zenoss, we were trying to monitor our infrastructure with several tools. However, none of the tools provided a consolidated view of our environment or afforded visibility into our virtualized infrastructure," explained Kyle Kopp, Infrastructure Manager at Huntington Bank. "Zenoss Service Dynamics delivers everything we need in a single product helping us lower cost and effectively manage our hybrid infrastructure."

Additional highlights in Q1 include:

  • CEO Bill Karpovich presented the company's business strategy and story at the Montgomery Technology Conference, March 7-9, 2012.
  • Zenoss announced that NWN, a national systems integration company, had selected Zenoss to monitor their new cloud collaboration service offering.
  • State of North Dakota selected Zenoss over HP, Compuware, and Nagios as their Unified IT Operations Platform.
