Two Degrees Mobile Uses Zenoss to Safeguard Service Assurance

New Zealand’s Most Disruptive Mobile and Network Provider Supports Its Vision With Intelligent Data Center Software

AUSTIN, TX — October 15, 2015 — Zenoss Inc., developer of software for the Intelligent Data Center, today announced that New Zealand-based telecommunications company 2degrees has signed a five-year renewal agreement with Zenoss to continue driving the business’ customer-centric delivery of mobile and broadband services throughout New Zealand.

2degrees has relied on Zenoss’ unified monitoring solution as the main tool for its day-to-day operations since the company’s inception in 2009. The software provides a consolidated view of all systems and relationships and integrates into 2degrees’ end-to-end incident management process. "The technology team uses Zenoss Service Dynamics for active monitoring of all of our business systems," said Klaus Ahlers, IT OSS manager at 2degrees. Ahlers said the company has favored the Zenoss solution over alternatives with the modeling and template-based monitoring, which results in speedy, efficient, and accurate configurations.

"Zenoss offered us the right mix of open and comprehensive monitoring functionality, enterprise support, and return on investment (ROI). It is the tool that continues to grow with our network, allowing us to quickly adapt to new monitoring challenges," said Ahlers, who is confident that Zenoss’ newest release and road map will prepare them as they address emerging industry trends around big data, digital acceleration, and cloud.

A cost-effective, flexible, and reliable option for quickly and efficiently handling incidents is a vital component in the delivery of quality services to subscribers across New Zealand. "The software provides a rich source of information for incident analysis," Ahlers said, "which helps us to not only mitigate risks quickly but also to improve operations by identifying degradations earlier and addressing them before services are actually impacted." Zenoss will continue to play an even more prominent role in improving the company’s service management going forward. "Zenoss serves the NOC as an integrator for incident detection and escalation of issues that have an impact on service delivery across the 2degrees infrastructure, networks, and applications," Ahlers said.

"Zenoss prides itself on the ability to provide service assurance for any size network and infrastructure, allowing companies around the globe to rapidly adapt to dynamic IT environments and evolving technologies," said Brian Wilson, senior vice president of customer success at Zenoss. "Providing 2degrees with a solution that manages both system and component performance data as well as insight about possible service impacts makes this an extremely powerful partnership."
