AUSTIN, TX—October 29, 2013 – Zenoss Inc. the leading provider of unified IT monitoring and management solutions for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT, today announced significant enhancements to the Service Impact component of Zenoss Service Dynamics. The updates further extend the scalability and performance benefits of Service Impact to meet the needs of customers struggling to keep pace with the accelerating business demands and complexity of the modern data center. The updated solution also makes it even easier to identify and fix performance and availability issues caused by the increasingly complex nature of IT.
Service Impact enables Zenoss Service Dynamics customers to add an application-centric context to their monitoring by identifying relationships between IT infrastructure components and the applications that depend on those components for reliable delivery. This provides a holistic view of application and service health that speeds up root cause analysis and facilitates prioritization of repair. The precise identification of the root cause of performance issues is particularly challenging in today's highly distributed, virtualized data center because of the constantly shifting relationships between applications, services, and infrastructure components. The latest release also delivers up to a 300 percent improvement in event processing throughput, ensuring rapid problem and incident notifications in the most challenging and large-scale IT environments.
