Zenoss Enterprise 2.1

Zenoss Enterprise 2.1 is now available with powerful new features, extending both its application management and network management capabilities with Virtualization support, native management of Java-based applications and first-of-its-kind network visualization features. Zenoss Enterprise 2.1 also adds powerful integration to popular 3rd party applications such as Remedy Help Desk, RANCID Network Management and LDAP.

New features in Zenoss Enterprise 2.1 include:

Comprehensive Application Monitoring

Zenoss Enterprise can monitor virtually any application via agent-less SNMP monitoring. Zenoss Enterprise includes ZenPacks that include reports and performance templates. In version 2.1 access to the following ZenPacks have been added:

• Java Application Servers - JBoss, Tomcat, BEA WebLogic
• Microsoft Servers - Microsoft Active Directory and IIS
• Virtualization - VMware, Xen
• Databases - MySQL

Integration with 3rd Party Applications

Zenoss' open architecture makes it easy to incorporate Zenoss with other systems you already use. Zenoss Enterprise 2.1 includes integration points for:

• Remedy Help Desk
• RANCID Network Management
• LDAP

Role Based Access Control Levels (ACLs)

Enables large organizations to manage and control access to IT systems management based on users' roles.

Predictive Threshold Trending

Providing automated analysis to detect deviations from normal performance and on the fly modification of thresholds.

• Automated and fast problem identification
• Static and dynamic thresholding capabilities that can be used to define service level agreements
• Predictive and automated threshold modification adjusting to seasonality of collected data and moving average
• Automated threshold settings based on real user data
