Deployment Options

Zenoss solutions are offered with a wide variety of deployment options. They are designed to provide flexibility in implementation to our customers with different business and technical needs.

Zenoss Hardware and Software Appliances are ideal for companies who are interested in ease of deployment with accelerated implementation time and quick return on investment. IT organizations, with available internal resources and who are interested in deploying a sophisticated IT management solution will find Zenoss binary and source code as viable options.

Zenoss Appliance is a hardware box complete with a certified build of Zenoss Enterprise Edition and Linux Operating System. It is available in 2 different sizes to fit your IT needs. Zenoss Appliance 250 is ideal for smaller deployments and it can be used to monitor up to 250 resources. Zenoss Appliance 1000 is typically used in larger deployments to monitor up to 1000 resources. Both appliances are ideal for companies looking to deploy an enterprise IT management solution, with limited IT effort and quick implementation time. Zenoss Hardware Appliance is only available with Zenoss Enterprise Subscription Services, and it is automatically maintained and updated with Zenoss Update Service.

Deployment

Deployment services are available from Zenoss Client Services or certified Zenoss Partners for the Zenoss Hardware Appliance. Zenoss CSEs are trained to assist with on-site or remote services to deploy, configure and customize the Zenoss Enterprise software delivered on the hardware.

Support

Support for the Zenoss Hardware Appliance includes warranty repair and replacement of individual components or the entire system for appliances under a valid hardware support contract for the first 12 months. Zenoss offers phone, email, IM, web in addition to remote access support to fit the IT needs of our customers.

Maintenance

Zenoss maintains the Zenoss Enterprise Software, supporting software and the operating system of the hardware appliance using the Zenoss Update Service. Zenoss Update Service automatically delivers updates and patches to all components on an as needed basis. Zenoss Hardware Appliance customers have full access to configure and control when the updates occur.

Zenoss Update Service requires internet access for the Zenoss Hardware Appliance. If direct internet access is not available, Zenoss Client Services can work with you to implement the correct update strategy for your organization.

It is ideal for companies looking to deploy an enterprise IT management solution with minimum IT effort and using customers' choice of hardware platform. Zenoss Software Appliance can be effortlessly and automatically maintained using Zenoss Update Service.

Delivery and Deployment

Customers can take delivery of the Zenoss Software Appliance within days from receipt of Enterprise support agreement. Deployment services are available from Zenoss Client Services or certified Zenoss Partners for the software appliance. Services are recommended for accelerated implementation of all Zenoss solutions.

Support

Zenoss offers phone, email, IM, web as well secure remote access based support to trouble shoot and diagnose customer issues.

Maintenance

With the Zenoss Update Service you are able to easily keep your deployment up to date with current software patches. Using the Internet, Zenoss Update Service delivers automatic updates while providing customers full control of the configuration changes.
