Bill Karpovich, CEO & Co-Founder

Bill is a forward-looking executive who has successfully launched several disruptive IT infrastructure products and associated businesses. Like Zenoss, these offerings have made it easier for organizations of all sizes to get substantially more value from their IT investments. New products and businesses that Bill has launched have accumulated over $1B dollars in sales.

Over the past 10 years Bill has held leadership positions with several successful IT startups including USinternetworking, Inc. and Digex Inc. which both had successful IPO's on the NASDAQ. Before entering the start-up domain, Bill spent 5 years with Accenture, Inc. (formally Andersen Consulting), where he specialized in application architecture of next generation information systems for the telecommunications industry.

Bill is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high distinction from Duke University where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and played varsity soccer. Bill is also a graduate of the Mindshare CEO Program and sits on the Strategic Advisory Board for the Anne Arundel Tech Council and the Board of Directors of the Open Management Consortium.

Erik Dahl, CTO & Co-Founder

Erik began development of the Zenoss software in 2002 to realize his vision of a better alternative for network/systems management. Erik brings 15 years of IT management experience. Zenoss is the fourth management product that Erik has led the development of in his career.

Prior to Zenoss, Erik was a senior architect at USinternetworking, where he led strategy, development of USi's global monitoring infrastructure. Prior to USinternetworking, Erik was director of product development for Meta4, Inc. where he led the development of a next generation IT monitoring software product. Prior to Meta4, Erik managed IT operations at Cornell University Medical College.

Erik is a graduate of the College of Wooster. He has completed graduate work in computer music at Brooklyn College and mathematics at Ecole Polytechnique Federale in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Peter Repetti, CFO

Peter Repetti is responsible for all of Zenoss' financial and administrative groups, bringing over 20 years of strategic and operating management experience across a range of industries. His expertise has helped a number of early stage software companies achieve successful and rapid growth and includes a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance and hands-on experience with both public and private market companies.

Prior to joining Zenoss, Pete served as CFO for several public and venture-backed software companies, including Blackboard, WebOS and Manugistics. During his five year tenure with Blackboard, Pete transitioned the company from a venture capital funded private firm to a public entity through an initial public offering in 2004. He also oversaw several mergers and acquisitions, and was instrumental in building the infrastructure to facilitate the company's dynamic growth from 400 to 800 employees and $20-$200 million in revenue. He has also served in financial management roles at US Airways and Flow General and began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Pete holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The George Washington University and an MBA in Finance and Business Strategy from The University of Chicago.

Tim Galligan, VP Worldwide Sales and Client Services

Tim is a successful sales leader, entrepreneur and 20 year veteran of the information technology industry.

Prior to Zenoss Tim was responsible for worldwide sales of the Sun Microsystems Software Infrastructure business unit which focuses on Identity, Business Integration and Web Services Solutions.

Tim joined Sun Microsystems via the acquisition of Waveset Technologies where he was VP of International Operations. With Waveset, Tim was responsible for developing the International business for Waveset Lighthouse through a combination of direct and indirect sales channels. During his tenure with Waveset the International business grew by over 300% and provided a strong foundation for continued success as part of the global Sun Identity Management business unit.

Prior to Waveset/Sun Tim held various Sales Management and Sales Engineering positions with Bowstreet Software, Motive Communications and IBM/Tivoli where he led the worldwide sales engineering team.

Mark R. Hinkle, VP Business & Community Development

Mark Hinkle is a long-time open source expert and advocate. He is a co-founder of both the Open Source Management Consortium and the Desktop Linux Consortium. He has served as Editor-in-Chief for both LinuxWorld Magazine and Enterprise Open Source Magazine. He is also the author of the book, "Windows to Linux Business Desktop Migration." (Thomson, 2006)

Over the past 10 years Mark has held executive positions at a various technology start-ups. At Earthlink (previously MindSpring) he was the head of the award-winning technical support organization recognized by PC Computing and PC World as the best in the industry. He has held executive roles (CIO, VP of Business Development) with Linux virtualization software provider, Win4Lin. As the VP of Strategy at Emu Software he executed the release of their configuration software, NetDirector, under an open source license.

Mark holds a BS degree in Management from York College of Pennsylvania. He has also completed undergraduate work in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a founding father of the University of Pittsburgh Rugby Football Club.

Matt Granger, VP Client Services

Matt is an industry veteran in the areas of enterprise systems management, security and wireless data. Matt began his career working for leading government contractors such as Contel Federal Systems and SAIC, learning first-hand the complexity of creating, deploying and maintaining large scale, distributed information systems. Matt spent several years consulting before launching his career at IBM, where he rose to Vice President of Systems Engineering for Tivoli Systems, IBM's $1.5 billion systems management company. Matt then joined Riverbed Technologies and was instrumental to the growth and subsequent acquisition by Aether Systems, where he was the VP of Applied technology working directly for the Chief Technology Officer. Next Matt joined e-Security, a leader in security event management. Matt was key in the growth of e-Security and its acquisition by Novell, Inc.

Matt holds a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
