Client Services Engineer

  • Open Position:
    Zenoss is currently recruiting for all levels of Client Services Engineers. We are seeking high-energy individuals to deliver Zenoss solutions to our clients. The ideal candidates will have experience in the implementation of enterprise network monitoring systems. This position will require approximately 40% travel to various client locations.
  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Attain expert knowledge of Zenoss products

Client Support Engineer

  • Open Position:
    Zenoss is currently recruiting for all levels of Client Support Engineers. We are seeking high-energy individuals to provide technical support via telephone and email for clients using Zenoss solutions.
  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Field customer support requests, perform problem determination, and turn over problems to our Engineering team
    • Troubleshoot and remedy Zenoss issues at customer sites
    • Track open customer issues, communicate status to customers
    • Interface with engineering to develop and test solutions

Configuration Manager/Build-Release Engineer

  • Open Position:

    Due to the unique nature of builds, platforms, and releases in an open source project, this is a unique engineering opportunity to create a configuration management program from the start, and it requires a rare skill set of coding and organizing artifacts in a fast-paced environment. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for ensuring the software release lifecycle is of the highest quality and efficiency to the point of being fully automated. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the build and release process have minimal impact on the core product engineering.

  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Design and develop a configuration management program to deal with internal builds, installations, and external packaging and distribution.
    • Play an active role in ensuring the quality of all release artifacts is production ready, including packaged installers, manual installation scripts, and associated documentation.

Domain Expert and Developer

    Zenoss is looking to expand its development team. The Domain Expert and Developer position will focus on improving the way our monitoring system interacts with the monitored environment. Explaining the domain to other core developers will also be an important part of this job. You must also provide a deeply technical interface between our customers, community and developers. Lead QA Engineer

  • Open Position:

    The Lead QA Engineer will be a position of increasing responsibility within the Zenoss development team. The Lead QA will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the product have adequate test coverage. This is a unique QA opportunity to leverage the open source community's input while certifying that enterprise versions are released with the highest standards.

  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Design and develop comprehensive test plans for a highly componentized product, each with specific testing requirements.
    • Lead all QA efforts within development organization, including build/installation, documentation, QA metrics, and requirements lifecycle.
    • Play an active role in growing the QA team.
    • Write and execute tests with a serious emphasis on automation wherever possible.

Senior Product Manager

  • Open Position:
    The Senior Product Manager will work with Zenoss' open source community and clients to gather requirements and will correspondingly create the needed internal processes, infrastructure and teams to fully leverage the power of the community.
  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Develop and Implement strategic product line programs and product roadmaps
    • Perform analysis of marketing data to include: market requirements, product requirements, pricing, penetration modeling, and business case financials
    • Formulate industry direction, competitor positioning, pricing, sales and marketing strategies
    • Direct all phases of a product and/or service from market definitions through the release of the product through the end of the product life cycle
    • Provide leadership in the development of product line programs to ensure consistency, coordination of efforts, high visibility of product line within the marketplace, and achievement of revenue objectives
    • Develop programs, processes, and support services to focus on customer retention, account penetration, new customer development, and expanding market presence
    • Ensure senior management awareness of future market opportunities which will allow for the broadening of the business base
  • Qualifications include:

    The successful candidate will have the appropriate educational credentials, coupled with prior product line management experience within the software industry. They will have solid knowledge of markets that deal in IT systems, network, and/or security management. The successful candidate will have expertise in creating and managing product roadmaps, product rollouts and of business planning methodologies, competitive analysis and strategy development. He/she will have demonstrated experience in writing product requirements, working with engineering to ensure product priorities are understood and implemented as well as working with a direct sales force and customers.

    The candidate will have a history that demonstrates experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive product line strategies as a function of market needs. The candidate will have a solid understanding of product lifecycles with the ability to interpret technology and market information into viable strategic and tactical product line action plans.

    The candidate will bring an aggressive, pro-active approach to the marketplace, yet balance this with a real world analysis of the organization's capabilities and reality of the customer community. The individual will have prior experience in the identification of markets and customers which leverage the organization's technology and product line capabilities. The position requires outstanding interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work across a broad range of functional organizations and management levels.
