IT Manager
- Open Position:
Zenoss is looking for a motivated, independent, and hard working individual to lead and support their internal IT team and systems. This is a technical manager role requiring both leadership and hands on system administration. A wide breadth of knowledge across multiple platforms and technologies will be required to be successful. A complete understanding of how the business units operate and the systems used to support them is also required. This position is a blend of business and IT supporting a technically advanced organization.
- Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- At a technical level, support, maintain, and grow all internal IT systems used to run the business
- Work with business owners to solve business problems with IT system solutions
- Manage a small team of technical resources
- Prioritize IT project work to be in line with business strategic goals
- Ensure business data is secure and protected from IT disasters
- Author IT policy and procedures
- Facilitate hardware and software acquisition as needed to support company initiatives
- Provide technical support to employees at all levels
- Nurture adoption of technology solutions throughout the business
- Identify efficiencies and cost savings through use of IT systems
- Work with business leaders to identify and deploy system solutions to meet business needs
- Deliver a quick and flexible response to numerous high priority and short turnaround requests
- Negotiate contracts and renewals with IT solution providers
- Qualifications include:
- Minimum 10 years experience in IT or related field with 5+ years in a technical hands on management role
- Wide breadth of technical experience across many platforms and archictectures
- Job History with highly technical startup or small business.
- Proven ability to translate business needs to IT system solutions
- Proficiency with Business Reporting and Business Analytics
- Experience negotiating contracts with IT system vendors
- Track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget
- Proven adaptability to survive a rapidly growing and changing company.
Technical Skills Required:
- Extensive experience with virtualization, specifically VMware ESX and vSphere
- Server administration for Linux and Windows
- Network administration including switches, routers, firewalls, vpn, and wireless
- Database administration for MySQL and Postgres
- Website Server administration for Apache and Tomcat
- Web Content Management System (CMS) administration
- Avaya VOIP system administration
- NetApp SAN administration

Senior Software Developer
- Open Position:
Zenoss is looking for a Senior Software Developer that will focus on designing and implementing new features for Zenoss Enterprise and Core. This person will be part of a fast-paced, Agile team focused on solving the problems of the next generation datacenter.

- Building highly scalable and reliable Web 2.0 applications to be used in enterprise applications
- Collaborating with a team to design new features and functionality

Zenoss is looking for an energetic Sales leader with experience creating and growing an inside sales/lead gen organization.
- Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Achieve sales goals by recruiting, hiring, training and retaining quota carrying inside sales personnel
- Manage the activities of the business developers including goal setting, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation

Inside Sales Representative

Zenoss is looking for a talented market developer who can process, identify, and qualify sales opportunities for our open source IT management software and distribute qualified leads to the sales organization for action. This role requires a motivated self-starter capable of making things happen and delivering results. This is an outbound lead qualification position - you must be comfortable on the phone and motivated to contact prospects via multiple methods in order to achieve your targets.
- Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process, identify and qualify leads into sales opportunities
- Be comfortable and proficient in identifying key decision makers across various organizations and uncovering the compelling events that will drive qualified opportunities for our sales organization
- Be confident in positioning our open source IT management products and value proposition to IT operations prospects from the operator level to the executive level
- Manage a large and growing database of leads in Sugar CRM, efficiently processing all opportunities, tracking, reporting and maintaining them until they are established in the sales pipeline
- Develop qualified leads by researching, profiling, cold calling, and networking targeted companies/contacts
- Support a variety of inbound and outbound marketing programs

Experience in the federal space is a must. This position will require approximately 40% travel to various client locations.
