Notification actions

Action Description
Command Invoke a shell command when events occur. Common uses of this action include:
  • Auto-remediation of events. You can use ssh or wincommand to restart services on Linux and Windows devices.
  • Integration with external systems. For example, opening tickets in an incident management system.
  • Extending alerting mechanisms. Zenoss Core supports email and pagers as alerting mechanisms "out of the box" through normal alerting rules.
Email Sends an HTML or text email message to authorized subscribers when an event matches a trigger rule.
Page Pages authorized subscribers when an event matches a trigger rule.
Syslog Sends a message to the syslog.
SNMP Trap Sends an SNMP trap when an event matches a trigger rule.
WinCommand Sends or clears a Windows CMD command.
