License Type

Open Source License (GPL)

Zenoss Core and Community Zenpacks are distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) Version 2. Open source licensing provides a unique opportunity for the open source community and for those developing open source software. You should be aware, however, that the GPL is quite restrictive. For example, the GPL license stipulates that any modifications to the base GPL product may become subject to the terms of the GPL - which include the requirement that distribution must be under the GPL and that you must provide the source code when you distribute the software.

Commercial License

Zenoss Enterprise is a package consisting of an aggregation of Zenoss Core and commercially-licensed extensions.
