Software startup Zenoss opens Austin development center

"Austin is a hotbed for systems management folks-- there's a great talent pool that has been brewing there for 15 years," said Zenoss vice president Mike Hinkle. "Tivoli was founded there, and now you've got SolarWinds and NetQos and others. It's a good market for reaching the Central U.S. and it's still easy enough for us to get there."
