Innotech Austin 2007

Mark Hinkle will be participating on a Panel called "Open Source is Not Just Linux" at 10:30 a.m. For a time, open source was (incorrectly) associated with Linux. In fact, the open source concept predates Linux by over 20 years. Today, emerging businesses are using an open source model for commercial application development and are driving more innovation. In this session, panelists will discuss the applications and technologies available within the open source community including Web content management, e-learning, server infrastructure, desktop applications, e-commerce, and IT system management operations. The session will conclude with the latest statistics on the most used applications (by industry).
