Announcing Zenoss Version 0.22.4

The latest packaged version of Zenoss, Version 0.22.4, is available for download.

Zenoss Version 0.22.4 provides an important bug fix correcting a MySQL issue that was leaking connections causing performance collection to cease after a given time period.

There is also a bug fix that addresses the loading of the local machine into the system. This was caused by not making sure that the snmp daemon was turned on for the local machine. To ensure SNMP is turned on for the local device, from the command line on the local device, enter:

$ chkconfig snmpd on 

For users of the Zenoss VMware Virtual Appliance, use "conary" to update a previous installation. In the same place you have installed Zenoss and will install the newer version, from the command line enter:

$ conary updateall

Then reboot the machine.
