Cyclades Console Servers

Submitted By: Colin 'chudler' Hudler

This ZenPack is for Cyclades Console servers. It has been tested against Alterpath Cyclades (Avocent) ACS48 Devices, but should work against any Cyclades ACSxx device. It was created in Zenoss Enterprise 2.2.3.

This pack adds:

  1. A device organizer at "Devices/Server/Console/Cyclades".
  2. A collector plugin for gathering TTY configuration and port status.
  3. A tab on the device page labeled "Terminals", which contains Name, Server, txBytes, rxBytes, connected, and "up" status. Name is the name of the port (eg ttyS01) with a link to performance data for that port. Server is the alias on the port with a link to the connected device if it is found in Zenoss. Connected is the CTS line status usually indicating physical connectivity. "up" is the DCD line status indicating that the far-end is online.
  4. Template with graphs for each port on txBytes, rxBytes, Frame Errors, Parity Errors, Break Errors, and Overruns. (linked from the "Terminals" tab on the device) 5. MIBS, product definition, etc.

Because of the collector, existing ACS devices will have to be deleted then modeled in the Cyclades organizer. Moving and remodeling will not work.
