Zenoss Core Version 2.0.1 Available

The latest packaged version of Zenoss Core, Version 2.0.1, is available for download. Zenoss Core Version 2.0.1 add a few additional enhancements as well as several minor bug fixes detailed below. There will not be a Virtual Appliance for version 2.0.1.

Note About Interface Naming Changes In the 2.0 release of Zenoss Core, the alias name of the interface was used to name interfaces. Zenoss Core 2.0.1 makes this behavior optional. Now, when interfaces are remodeled, they get the standard ifDescr name, unless you replace the InterfaceMap plugin with the new InterfaceAliasMap plugin.

Fixes

  • Implemented work-around for "bad format char passed to Py_BuildValue" with python < 2.4.3
  • Removed unnecessary Cisco version check
  • SNMP process scans that fail to return process names or arguments are now dealt with properly
  • zendisc can now be run from a network anywhere in the network tree
  • Fixed the EventFilter "> =" comparison
  • zen2dump now exports passwords as strings, not as unicode.
  • Fixed arguments to default traceroute command
  • Negative speed value is now collected for high speed IPInterface
  • Changing the production state now propagates correctly to zenperfsnmp
  • Error connecting to the object database should now raise errors
  • Fixed performance problem in zenperfsnmp configuration loading
