Mark Hinkle, VP of Community, will be participating in two panel sessions on Wednesday, July 21 in addition to DevOps GameDay, which is part of CloudCamp PDX on Monday, July 19 at 8:15 PM. Hinkle is taking part in the session entitled "Open Source Tool Chains for Cloud Computing" on Wednesday July 21 at 1:40 PM. Alongside participants John Willis of Opscode and Alex Honor of the ControlTier project, the conversation will provide an overview of four key areas for the management of cloud computing and virtual infrastructure and the open source tools available to achieve success managing these environments in each area. At 5:20 PM on the same day, Hinkle will join Stephen O'Grady of Redmonk, Evan Prodromou of StatusNet, Aaron Williamson of Software Freedom Law Center), and John Pugh of Canonical in a session entitled "Web Services: How Can Open Source Software Compete?" to discuss what people are doing to define and create "free" web services. Zenoss is a major participant in DevOps GameDay, a meeting of developers, system administrators and network engineers meeting up at CloudCamp PDX on Monday, July 19 at 8:15 PM to create a simple web application running WordPress at http://reserve.dyntini.com in Amazon EC2. These groups meet at conferences to test failed, real-world systems and tools integration scenarios, and experiment with how to maximize uptime.
