Zenoss Announces John Engates as Keynote at GalaxZ

Rackspace CTO Added to Lineup, Which Includes Michio Kaku and Executives from Lenovo, Cisco, NetApp and General Electric

Austin, TX – April 1, 2015 – Zenoss Inc., the leading provider of unified monitoring and analytics for virtual, physical and cloud-based IT infrastructure and applications, today announced John Engates, Chief Technology Officer at Rackspace, as a keynote for GalaxZ, the annual Zenoss user conference to be held May 4-6, 2015 in Austin, TX.

John Engates is an internationally recognized cloud computing expert and a sought-after speaker at technology conferences, including GigaOM Structure, the Web Summit and Cloud Expo. He speaks on the future of cloud computing, enterprise cloud adoption, OpenStack and OpenCompute, efficient data center best practices and more.

In his role as CTO, Engates has played an active role in the evolution and evangelism of Rackspace® managed cloud strategy and solutions portfolio. He meets frequently with customers to hear about their needs and concerns, and to discuss Rackspace's vision for the future of cloud computing. Engates joined Rackspace in August 2000, just a year after the company was founded, as Vice President of Operations, managing the data center operations and customer-service teams. Prior to joining Rackspace, Engates was a founder and General Manager at Internet Direct, one of the original Internet service providers in Texas.
